I updated my Viper with a CAI, bigger t.b.'s, headers, high-flow cats, and exhaust and only walked away with 35 additional horse. I would guess that your upgrades would net you somewhere between 15-20.

how do you like the sound of the Flowmaster kit?

Well...the ad that's at the top of my screen on this forum says 12.8hp for the Hemi with the K&N CAI. I guess if it doesn't gain that much, maybe you can get a partial refund

One thing about horsepower gain claims, you can't add the two together.

For example, Cold Air Intake claims 12 horsepower gain, and the Muffler claim is a 15 horsepower gain. You would think that you gained 27 horsepower, right?

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You might realize a 20 horsepower gain in truth, sorry, but that is real life.

Welcome to the real world..............been there, done that.

As I understand it, your gains are short lived until you change your ECU.

The potential you have added to the car is still there and is still taken into account by the computer. Thats why you have to reset the thing after doing this stuff. I don't think its the computer soaking stuff up so much as it is the computer doing its job and adapting the engine response to your driving style over time. If you drive like a nut at WOT and full brakes for 150 miles every day over hilly terrain and windy roads you'll get a different engine response than you would if you drive 2 miles to work in crowded traffic at 30 mph and another 3 to the grocery store.

I was wondering what affect on milage the system has the upgrades done. Im a SXT owner and was more concerned about over all feeibility of the new vehicle vs the gas hog of the '02 Ram 1500. I guess I have outfrown my days as a hotrodder and the cost of gas has made me mroe $$$ wary. In my train of logic, the computer will squirt more gas because of any improvement of air volume given to the throtlebody.

Between the K&N typhoon intake, magnaflow cat back, and jetchip stage 2, I've made enough hp to overcome the added weight of my rims Fricken sad I've got to spend $1100 to make the $2200 rims and tires on my car keep up with a stock RT [:'(] But I love the look [8D]

I hope to get ahead in the game by adding the headers and t/b spacer and a 75 shot in the future
