Question Switch to full synthetic in 5.7 Hemi

Hi all! I am new to DF and have a question that I have not been able to find an answer on (so sorry if the answer is out there already).
I have 36k miles on my 2006 Dodge Magnum R/T with the 5.7L Hemi. I would like to switch to full synthetic, but I've heard that switching so late can end up in oil leaks since everything is used to running with the conventional motor oil. Is this true??? I would ask the dealership but I don't trust that they would give me an honest answer.
Thanks!!!

It's an old wives tale about that happening and mostly in the older cars with 100k miles or more and it wasn't switching from reg to syn or vice versa, it was switching different weights/viscosity that would cause the leaks.

36k miles on a car today is nothing, especially if you have been maintaining it. Go ahead and switch to Syn Oil, just make sure that you stay with the 5w20.

BTW, welcome to the forum.
