I've had the R/T almost 2 months now.
Added the AirRaid cold air package & Magnaflow mufflers but it's so tough in the S.E. Florida traffic to find a clear stretch of road to stop & "clean it out".
Coming back from a parent-teacher conferance with my kid Friday I noticed a local road they've been working on forever was open.
With nobody on it

Punched it from a dead stop (didn't turn off the traction control) to about 80.
Spun the tires for about 5 feet and off we went, I lifted at the top of 2nd.

I've read some posts about loosing torque after adding aftermarket air filters & mufflers.
That definately wasn't the case here with a even pull throughout the rpm range (5500 shift).

Having the road to myself I tried it again with similar results (my 16 year old was loving this and I got a "bad example" talking to from the wife when she heard about it ).

I'm guessing real low 14s in the 1/4.
Definately healthier than stock.
Next time my car club goes up for test & tune I'll see how close my educated guess is.
Will post the results...

I'm in the acres Blue R/T 22" wheels.

 

I have the SXT and I had dual echaust installed, I did notice slight change in the torque curve. Seems that it has moved up from idle...if i punch it at 30 or so watch out, but it seems a little sluggest off the line

Hey Husker did you put in a cold air box or at least a K&N filter to go with the duals?
If the air is getting out quicker maybe it needs to get in quicker to maintain the same volume.

Defiantly, I will be heading up there this friday. I will probably be in the Lotus.

gil how often do you go to towers. Is there alot of magnums out there. I used to live around there and to to towers quite often. Is it still on fridays.

 

Yeah, it's still on Fridays.
I usually see 1 or 2 other Magnums but nothing organized.
We also have a custom PT Cruiser and are members of both PT clubs there (was one club......politics).
I pretty much hand out now with the Cruisers of S. Florida (on the north side) because the club is open to all car types.
We have a couple of Vettes, 454 El Camino, couple of bikes besides the PTs.

I'm trying to get over there tonight, check out Bill & his Lotus but as I sit here work is rearing its ugly head so we'll see.
If I make it I'll be the Vanilla R/T with the north bunch if I make it.
