Wood overlay on dash
I just installed a wood dash kit from veneerz.com last night. It came out GREAT. I'll post pics later today or tommorrow.I've got the dark gray interior so I went with a black marble simulated wood finish.(only $225) I didn't use ALL of the pieces in the kit. I've put kits like this in my other cars and I've found that using too many of the little pieces or the pieces with cutout holes make the kit look cheap. They offer a huge piece that goes across the entire passenger dash panel with a "magnum" cutout........YUCK!!...I didn't use that one. My last kit I got from "Exotic Dash" and they pissed me off. After 3 kits that I bought, I brought to their attention that one of their pieces for the BMWX5 was outdated due to an equipment change. They could care less!!! They didn't offer to rectify the mistake, even though their pattern was incorrect. The kit from Vennerz fit well, and looks awesome.
Do A search on the old posts, you will find others who have done a dash kit install.
Here is mine, I used fake wood (burl walnut) the kit was from NYCityDashes
I went with the basic kit, not the deluxe kit.
