Default SE availability

There seems to be a lot of pre-owned and even new Magnum SE's available around the Buffalo, NY area for around the $20-$22k mark.

I know I'll have to drive an SE to determine this but I was wondering given some of the comments about the SE or at least it's engine being a dog, do you think these discounted prices are too attractive to pass up?

Heck, I'm driving a PT Cruiser and it's certainly no road-burner!

I'd appreciate your two cents....expecially from those who own a SE

i dont own one, but i had one for about a week...it was a very nice car, but the 2.7 is a bit undersized for the big car...

Remember that the Magnum weighs in at over 4,000 pounds, the small V6 just won't get the job done.

Go for the SXT or the RT..................

Love my RT.

I've driven one. Wouldn't ever consider buying one, especially since I've seen all the problems they've had w/the 2.7L in the Intrepids and such w/them sludging up. Definatley get the 3.5L if not the HEMI. The 2.7L is just too small for that big car.

The SE is also the "fleet" model. You should be able to go and rent one. Take it for a week and see if it is good enough.
