Magnum RT FM Radio doesn't work????
Just picked up a really nice low-mileage '05 R/T from original owner, who said the FM stopped working when he didn't renew his 1 year complementary Sirius subscription. He said he never fixed it because he always listened to CDs...I renewed the satellite radio subscription, but the FM still acts like the antenna is unplugged (which its not), any thoughts??????
So satellite works, cd works, everything else works but FM?
Well first of all, the sat radio is using a different transmitter than the FM radio. They have nothing to do with each other.
Does any of the radio stations come in at all on the FM? A station that might be local compared county area? If so, then maybe the antenna came out in the back of the radio. You are good with your hands and tools, pull the radio out and check to see if the antenna came unplugged. If the antenna is plugged in and your problem exists, then the actual FM tuner is bad and there is not much that you can do except replace the radio.

This happens to me once in a while. Disconnect neg. cable on battery (in trunk) and then reconnect it. Try your radio again.
Also, sometimes I just turn the key on and off (to accessory position) a few times (rapidly). This has worked too. I admit that I've done it when I've been short on time, but this probably isn't a good practice.
