I had earlier logged in about an odd happening when shifting my R/T manually.As stated it would blow by 2nd gear and skip right to 3rd,under hard acceleration.Just today while playing with a new Hemi Challenger,and starting out in first ..I let it wind out to the red line...and it shifted into a hard 2nd AUTOMATICALLY,then I manually chose when to hit 3rd,and so on myself!!!! Is this normal? Is it something electrical ?..maybe a fail safe not to over rev the engine? I had assumed when they said "manual shift" mode ,you could hold the gear you were in until "you' wanted to change it.Anyone else had this happen? Do I have the makings of a trans problem? Any help would be appreciated.Bobby

 

The controller will automatically shift the tranny to prevent over-revving the engine.
