2006 R/T Magnum
Magnum viewers,
Here is a picture of my 2006 R/T Magnesium Pearlcoat that I took possession of on Apr 21, 2005. I have only put 200 miles on it as of today.
I think that it is a 2005, except for a few cheap add on’s like stick-on stuff and putting a rod to hold up the hood. I ordered the smokers group, but there are no ashtrays in the rear passenger compartment.
I hear a valve lifter noise, and a grinding when the brakes are applied. It does track straight on the road.
Power does not come on until 3000 revs.
I think that DC has cheapened this car because folks are buying it because of the good reports when first released, and they think it will continue to be wanted.
I really like the car, but I think they have backed off on quality.
I think that possibly 2005 owners have a better car, unless DC has improved something I don’t know about.

Bob,
I hope your Magnum works out for you. Might need a few little tweeks to get it where you want it.
I have to say.....my '05 SXT is an absolute hit with me. I simply love to drive it....and when I'm not driving it, I'm thinking about driving it. I just can't find anything I don't like about this car. Almost every vehicle I've ever bought I've had a small case of buyers remorse....but not my Magnum.
So hopefully things get better with your ride.
Cheers,
Tilt

Don’t get me wrong about this car. I really love it notwithstanding the faults I have found. I think it is the best looking car on the market today, and where can you find a V-8 with 340 H.P. for less?
I previously owned an ’89 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT. The Magnum accelerates better, handles better, and has four times the room inside. The Mustang was half the price, but that was back in ’89.
I would like to hear comments from those who have gotten an ’06 model. What say you?
