Just found out that Yakima will have the right Q - Clips for the Magnum in next 30 days. These work with existing towers. Now can finally fit my old Durango rack to the magnum. Canoe and Kayaks no longer land locked.

Just for your information in case you have also been waiting for an option besides the factory rack.

First thing I did was spend a grand on getting that fugly roof rack removed. Every now and again, though, I dod need a rack to haul stuff. This is an awesome solution.

Yes, the perm racks are BUTT ugly. They do serve a purpose, but I have found that most OEM racks are worthless when it comes to actually using them.

Most you see on Vans and SUV's are for show only. In this case with the Magnum, it is just FUGLY...

Notice that the roof racks are not even an option on the SRT8. I don't know about the 2006 Magnum standard models but I would assume that, after what I've read over the last year on these forums, that it is not.

I think they were afraid the magnum will be seen as a muscle car, become a classic and make them a boatload of money so they decided to hook it up with a roof rack and side moldings so people would see it more as a station wagon.
whew... god thing they have high paid decision makers for things like this.
Same dudes who cut the warranty/clientele in half, I imagine.
