Default 4 1/2 bolt circle problems

has anyone tried to use a 4 1/2" bolt circle on their magnum yet? since the magnum is 115mm bolt circle, it is close enough to fit, but has the possibility to bolt up slightly off center pulling to one lug first. this could cause balance or off center problems. has this happened to anyone yet?

the wheels i am looking at have the 4 1/2 bolt circle.

It's been done hundreds of times. There are always rumors going around of someone losing a whel but I've never actually seen it nor do I know of anyone at another dealer who has either. GM has the same issue with the 5X4.75 and 5X120, they have swapping back and forth for a decade now.

If 4 1/2" is 114.3, that is what I have on my AWD Magnum RT. When you put the bolts on, you can tell that something is not quite kosher, that is, when you have 4 nuts tight, the 5th one is not quite centered, I put my wheel locks on that one, they are smaller diameter....

5 on 115 is what you better/should run. Its your life if you want to risk it using non-spec bolt pattern...

i used 5/114.3 bolt pattern, i did have to drill them out slightly because of the larger bolt circle and larger lugs, but had them for several months now and none of the nuts have come loose

Just to clarify, I do not condone this practice as it is not correct but most if not every dealer in the country is using the 5X4.5 wheels. Many of the popular styles simply are not offered in the 5X114.

I went by what the guys at 1000rims.com said, I am clueless when it comes to rims:

Chrome 18x7.5 PCD 5x114.3 (5x4.5) ET 45
DIRECT FIT package. (5x114.3 bolt pattern fits too) See package options
