New here. 2005 Dodge Magnum- wonderful car I have never had a problem til now. While going down the road the engine seams to be cutting off and on rapidly. It makes the car jerk like its trailer hitching. Now this problem is not consistent. It may go a few weeks and not do it, then all the time. Other than that the car runs flawlessly. Even no codes are poppng up. I seem to have checked everything, new battery, checked alt., grounds, ect. I need help. thank you.

 

Sounds like you have water in your gasoline

 

That sort of driving condition should throw a code out if it was coming from the engine.

If it was water in fuel it would almost certainly show up in the O2 readings.

Have you checked the transmission?
