Here is the installation of the wires from the battery to the distribution blocks.

Close Up with the amp wires hooked to the blocks.

This is the cutting that was required for the box. I can still get the tire out
with just the removal of the speaker enclosure.

Here are the new Kicker speaker gills for the ALPINE speakers. I know should
be illegal but I like the spiked looks ahha.

Looks good! I had my done professionally at HiFi Buys. I'm not sure what the wiring looks like, I didn't look. Maybe I'll check now that you show your clean install. For the amount of money I paid, it better be clean. I used to do all my own stereo crap but the past three or four cars I've had I had a professional do it. Sure it costs more, but I don't have to get my lazy *** out and do it.

356 looks great. I might steal your idea there for the amp location if you don't mind. I am printing out your pics for the guys. If it works go with it is my moto. They way they don't have ot re-engineer it and charge me more.

I hear ya! Today I decided that after one more lil change, NO MORE! The only thing would be a In-Dash DVD, and thats an easy swap. I fiqured I have saved about $500 in fab and install. Instead of $1500 the install was about $1000

CDE-9845 CD/MP3/WMA Headunit $180
SPS-080A 3.5" $75
SPS-170A 6.5" $100
MRP-T220 Amp 50X50w for $120
SPS-690A 6X9" $120
MRD-M301 Amp SWS-1022D 10" Subs $350 (Package Deal)
Wood $15
Carpeting $20
Lexan $35
Wiring, Blocks and adapters $50 (blocks were free)
Kicker Grills $50
TOTAL: $1115 + $78.05(tax)=$1193.05

Now if I had it installed they charge here $50 labor per item,
speakers and headunit $200
fab and install sub and amps $500
CDE-9845 CD/MP3/WMA Headunit $180
SPS-080A 3.5" $75
SPS-170A 6.5" $100
MRP-T220 Amp 50X50w for $120
SPS-690A 6X9" $120
MRD-M301 Amp SWS-1022D 10" Subs $350 (Package Deal)
Kicker Grills $50
TOTAL: $1695 + $118.65 = $1813.65

Saved $620.60

Well heck I did better than I thought! Yeah Me! ahahahaah

Do you have any problem with heating on the amps? I had installed my amp like that originally, but the dang thing overheated and died...

I originally had a neon light bar in the slot that you see. I have been runnng like this with nothing in the slot for about 3 months now. I am thinking of putting 2 fans in a push/pull configuration. If I cant find a switched power in the back , I will just use a thermo switch to control the fans. Also I have the rear of the amps lifted to give them a slant which helps with the cooling also. And then running some LEDs in the slot that the fans don't fill.

Here is the final final pic hahaha. Thougth there was too much silver on the grills. Just took a permanent marker and blackened in the center of the 4 spikes.

My stuffs going in today. I am getting almost the same setup...I will ask them about fans. Hopefully things come out well. I decided to go with two tens instead of one. Hopefully it will be worth it.
