I agree with you on the overkill factor. I was looking at the 2 different kits offered by NYCdashes. I'm going to go with the smaller 30 piece kit instead of the large 72 piece kit. With the smaller kit you can purchase the passenger airbag area for a small fee. I'm thinking with the smaller kit, this would not look as bad. Haven't decided on that piece yet. What do you think about the exterior kit? I wonder what it would look like on the black Magnums?

 

I would say go for the full kit, and use only what you want... it's always better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

I am seriously considering the exterior kit for my black R/T. The guy at NYC says that they are guaranteed to last the lifetime of your car, even through car washes (I detial my cars once to twice per week). I would never do the chromed stuff though, I've seen it on others and for me it's too much of a "Pimp My Ride" look.
