Default Grill swaps

I was wondering if anyone that has or seen a grill swap done? My ? is does the front end have to come off to get the stock grill on/off? I am thinking seriously to swap out the SXT headlights and grill to the RT chromies. I seen a silver RT and it gave it a LX vs sport look to it. Since I don't have the RT, no since in trying to make it look "musclar" hahaha. Now I am sure I will be hearing "why did'nt you just buy a 300C for the LX(luxary), I liked the old timey look of the wagon I guess.

Maybe I get down to St. Louis and have Grinner tape the swap. So grinner is ya know of someone that has a RT and wants to swap headlight and grille give me a shout. I can stay at Scott AFB. Oh yeah Grinner when is there going to be a "How to lower" video.

Not sure if you are looking to do a aftermarket grille:

Taking the front fasica is the best way to do a TRex grille, but there are others that are simply 'bolt ons' over existing grille.

chefboyrlee. I have the same problem, I am on constant call here. I not even sure if grinner said yes I would be able to do it. I am going to stick with the car show and hopefully someday someone with a dark R/T will want to do the swap. Heck I will even start bring my tools to do it on the spot haha.

Ltldad Im not looking for aftermarket, nothing out there that floats my boat. This weekend Im going to look to see if it is possible to get the grille out without taking the front end off. That is entirely too much trouble to me for just looks.

I've swapped a few magnum grilels. Ya done have to take the front fascia off to do it but ya do need to remove the3 plastic rivits on top to pull it out.
Even in installing lower billet grilles, it's quicker to leave the fascia on.
Tell ya what, If someone wants to send me a chrome RT grille for a black SXT grille, I'll make a grille swap video for everyone.

Im pretty sure you can get the OEM grills out by just pulling out the 5 push pins in the middle. Open the hood and across the center you will see them. you pull out the center with 2 flat screwdrivers or in my shop i use a pair of dykes with a notch in them so as to not cut it off. Then you just pull them up.

If you want, its not a big deal to remove the whole front facia. You take out the same push pins in the top, then you have to drill out 3 expanding rivets on each side that hold the fender inner liner to the facia (reassembling, I use slide clips and sheet metal screws). Then you remove about a 1/2 dozen 7mm screws across the bottom below the radiator. Then on each side there is a hex screw (10mm i think) at the very rear edge of the bumper facia that goes straight upward into the edge of the fender. The last step is just to give each end a sharp little tug to unsnap it and the whole nose comes off. Its about a 30 minute job. The grill and headlites are very easy to remove then. If you have fog lights, just unplug them at the light.

I changed out my stock grill to a E&G Classic stainless steel grill. Turned out nice. Only needed to remove the black cover between the front fascia and the radiator/engine compartment. It has I think 9 plastic pins that need to be pulled and the grill is held in with various clips and fasteners which are visible with a good light. If you do not mind scraped up arms you can do it. I think mine turned out ok. Had to drop the front belly pan to access the lower grill area.
