$2k isn't unreasonable considering the stock roof is $1k. Or at least maybe its not, assuming the front half slides back via a motor.
You know, here in Fresno its been well over 100 degrees every day for awhile now, its 105 now and expected to hit 109 for today and the next two days, not dipping below 100 before at least next Friday (which I doubt its going to do).
The LAST thing you need is a glass roof turning your Magnum into a giant Suzybake oven when its parked (yes its noticeably worse if you forget to close the roof slider that covers up the glass), plus you can REALLY feel the heat off the thing when driving unless, again, you close the slider and block out the light and most of the heat.
So I'd say this mod is definitely not for a warm/hot climate.

That is quite an impressive sunroof. I'm wondering though, does taking out a large portion of the metal weaken the roof though in a roll over?

Why would you want to roll a Magnum over?[sm=burnout.gif]
Seriously, though. You'd have to work pretty hard to roll this vehicle. That's one reason I love it over an SUV. I like being low to the ground and way more stable. I suppose you could slide it sideways into a ditch at high speed and then roll down the hill. But at that point, even a roof is not much help.

being low helps, but at highspeeds anything is possible once you get it sideways, plus as noted above they added or left the crossmember in, and probaly framed the rest of the opening out making it as strong or better than stock
I hear ya, I just keep my sun shade pulled. It's been in the mid 90's here for about two weeks now, not bad except we also get about 95% humidity..ick....thank God for A/C
