Has anyone donr the autoheadlight?
Hello all, wife does NOT want me messing around her new car, but has anyone done the Dremel tool removal to make the headlights auto?
How do they work, good, bad or perfect?
Will the computer need to be reset?
Thanks

Yes, I did it in five minutes. You only need to remove the the **** from the switch and not the enitre switch. I removed the **** with a flat head screwdriver and the "nub" is to the right (bottom). I cut it off with 5 slices from a utility knife. I popped the **** on...and that's it AUTO HEADLIGHTS. No batterery reset needed.

Love them easy, (Oh honey thanks!) things.
Sounds like I may do it tonite.
What kind of delay off, or does it depend on personal settings?

Sounds like a cheap and easy mod to do, but not for me. I don't like automatic headlights, I would rather use the old arm to turn them on and off.
Yes, I have had them on other cars, that is why I don't like them.

Even though I've had the auto headlights on the past 4 vehicles, I never use it. I want to control when the headlights go on. Thats why I will not buy a vehicle which comes with daytime running lights. I hate those things.
Am I correct in my thinking though that if you do this mod you can still select when it is in 'A' for auto, and when it is merely turned on and off...
Or is it that once you do the mod you are stuck with Auto Headlights?

All the other switch settings still work as original. You can set it to the imaginary "A" or use any of the other positions.

I did it yesterday , works great. I shaved off some of the stop on the actual **** though , not the high spot on the switch. Works the same way , but seemed like an easier way to do it.
