Default HVAC Blower Motor Issue

On a longer road trip (about 6 hours), I found that my blower motor seemed to struggle a little bit, about 3 hours in. The air blowing out was very cold; it just seemed that there was no air drawn in to blow out. I was running the air on Auto Low/Auto, so I kicked the fan up to Full, the temp on both sides to the coldest, and the vents to panel. No luck. When I reached my destination I called the closest dealer to run it by them, and they were perplexed, but assured me that the dirty Cabin Air Filter shouldn't affect the blower. So I drove 20 miles to the dealer, and had them look into it. Again, no luck; the dreaded "Could not duplicate customer concern". I experienced the same problem on the return trip, and I don't think the heat in Chicagoland is any more difficult than anywhere else, but was wondering if anyone else has heard of this, or experienced it first hand.

Thanks Again

Tom

Hey have you made it out to the Flashback Car show yet? I wont be there on the 10th, I'm going on alert. Plus only going to stop by on the 17th, my father is coming up to visit.

Not to totally hijack the post, I dont have the dual zone A/C and no probs here.

If you have this problem, turn off the A/C and use the outside air. The outside air will melt the ice that is blocking your air and your vented air will be cool from the ice that is melting. If your doing a long trip, DO NOT USE the automatic climate control. I have had no problems with this if I manually controlled the fan during a long trip. This is the worst automatic climate control I've had in any of my cars. I rarely use it anymore because I can regulate the temp better manually.

You may want to see your dealer for service. I have had mine on automatic since I got it and have had no problems.

I didn't have the problem either until I went on a 500 mile road trip. It reared its ugly head then. I had this problem with my Volvo C70 coupe also.

I'm having issues with my heat/air. It started with the ****. It was as though it was stripped or something because when I tried to turn it from low to high or vice versa, it was as though everything had been reversed. I didn't have any problems until after getting my clockspring replaced in the turn signal.

Now, the **** is broken off and the stem that holds the **** is broken. The dealer is saying that I need to replace the HVAC Control Head and I have been trying and trying to research this to no avail. I feel your frustration!!!
