Default Shifting problems

My 05 Magnum randomly does not shift in to higher/lower gears. I read "the possum's" post and I have to do the same process of stopping placing it in park, turn off, & restart. I have had to do this process 2-3 times before the problem is fixed.

The down shifting problem is when I turn into my street. It is a sharp right turn with a uphill grade. Tranny stays in a higher gear and refuses to downshift. Manual downshift doesn't work either. I have to roll back into roadway burm and repeat the process above. Any help would be appreciated.

I have taken it in to a service tech but the problem is random. He suggested a stretched trans cable could be the problem.

Did you have the transmission module scan for codes? The most likely cause is the main frame that is where you will also find the input and output sensors. The main frame is on top of the valve body.

Default Service bulletin on shifting problems

My service tech found a service bulletin on this problem. Transmission fluid leaked into the wiring at the plug-in on transmission, causing the problem. The engine service light never came on the first time, but the second time it did. He change out the plug and blew air through wiring harness trying to remove the rest of the fluid, 3 weeks later it happened again. He cleaned and dried out the harness again. If this fails to correct the problem the wiring harness has to be replaced.
