Default Custom paint from I-55

Well I washed my car and found that the whole front end has white paint from new strips put on HIGHWAY. Is it ok to use nail polish remover or paint thinner if I wipe it off right away. Also this black paint is the worst I have ever had my 18 year buick GN has better paint than this, the paint is thin and soft.

Anything you use will remove any wax, so if you have waxed, it will need redone. You can try a few things. I dont know what base the hiway paint is (oil, water, thinner, etc). Since water didnt remove it, try washing it down with a washcloth and kerosene. It will not harm the paint. If that dont work, try a good brand ' Cleaner Wax ' or a ' wax & grease remover ' like Prep Sol. Next you can try a medium grade (like 3M Perfect II) rubbing compound. These cars like most are urathane basecoat / clearcoat and once its dried a few months its almost impervious to anything except objects like gravel. I have washed stuff off of my Midnight Blue with cloth and laquer thinner with no problem. Just dont SOAK it down or leave it on. If you feel like its getting soft (didnt on mine) stop right away and let it dry. Fingernail polish remover is just laquer thinner with a scent, but some are acetone. I own a body shop btw.
