Is there any thing special about these cars other than no console and a column shifter? I found one with 130k miles for less than most SE cars are selling for.

 

Usually police cars are slightly tuned for more power. At the same time, some comfort features are left out. Easy to change though.

 

Suppose $7k for an 07 with about 130k miles be a decent price?

 

That's a real good price. My neighbor just bought one with 110k and has a rebuilt title for $5500.

Also, what is it? SE, SXT, RT?

 

It is an RT. I presumed that all copcars were RT, that is all I have seen thusfar.

 

Damn!!!!! An RT for that price? I would jump all over that. That price is what the 6 cylinders are going for.

I would have a mechanic check it out just in case. That price is really low.

 

Starting to wonder about this one, I haven't even driven the 240 miles to see it yet and they offered it to me for $6500. Sent me a carfax on it( I can only presume it to be on this car) and it only shows dealer work for fan codes, no other notations of any significance.

Have a way to run your own car fax when you get there. It looks good, get it. It is a gamble but if everything checks out, you got a deal. If not, then you just had a nice day of driving. Find a good restaurant and treat yourself to a good dinner.

 

Hopefully the Magnum is mechanically sound, these Hemi package models take a lot of abuse when in service. Depending on the year, I would think the police package would have the upgraded suspension components, ECM, and cooling system.

My neighbor had an unmarked white '07 Charger Hemi package, he's a Lieutenant for the Sheriffs Dept., currently has a unmarked black '12 GC Jeep. I can't begin to even tell you how many times his Charger went from 0-100+ mph on an average day (As he quotes me). These LX models have semi weak front ends, so you can understand what a service unit goes through.

Hopefully you found a healthy one. A year ago I had fender flares for my RAM Sport color matched. The body shop had an unmarked for sale. 130k miles clocked, black steelies, white body, 5.7 Hemi, priced at $2,000.00, I should of bought it, but my wife didn't want a second Charger. I would of striped that puppy down, and built it as track car for lapping events around my area. Would of been fun, especially for 2k!

 

I passed on it, found a really nice, very clean 06 from an individual for about $3k more, with AWD. I'll get some pictures of it once weather turns nicer
