Default DTC codes 0520, 0524, and 1521 wtf!

well, the RT wagon dashboard is ringing and chiming

first 2 codes were oil pressure sensor malfunction, and secondly low oil pressure. i believe they are related (ha ha)

the third one is puzzling 1521 ? any tips on what could be causing this to trip?

tia!

It is possible that a bad oil pressure sensor that is throwing codes indicating a bad sensor and low oil pressure are causing the PCM to think it is incorrect oil. Here is an excerpt from the manual that may help:

NOTE: If set along with P1521, repair any engine oil pressure or temperature DTCs first before continuing.
The following conditions must be checked.
² OEM recommended oil viscosity is being used.
² Customer is following the oil change schedule.
² Check the engine oil for contamination. (i.e., fuel and/or engine coolant)
² Internal engine condition that may effect oil pressure.
Were any of the above condition found?
Yes >> Repair as necessary.

I'm betting on a bad sensor.
