When my gas tank is full everything is fine, when the tank gets to be around half full the engine light goes on, and when the tank is near 1/4 or towards empty the engine light goes off.
Does anyone else ever experience this?

First of all you need to get the codes checked. I think you'll find one of 2 things....you have an EVAP emissions leak/code or a fuel level sensor code.
