A friend had one of the cold intake setups with the exposed cone style filter on his Honda 2000. In heavy rain is sucked up enough water that the engine got hydraulic lock and busted out all the pistons and the dealer would not cover the damage under warranty. <( just a tip)

The 'suitcase' muffler is the one in the middle, the ones at the back are the resonators. I took both resonators off mine right away and had custom tail pipes fitted with the OEM tips. Sounds a lot nicer, but still pretty quiet. Shop charged me $50 parts and labor.

The Volant has the lower intake for their CAI. Will that suck in water?

Hi there, I have had cold air intakes on almost all of my previous cars (from my old civic to my tahoe). The noise is a sucking noise but its not loud at all. If anything, it sounds pretty aggressive to say the least. Speaking of CAI, I just noticed www.hpautoworks.com, is now selling the new Injen intake. They are located in Tempe also, so Im gonna stop in and check it out. Ill keep you posted.

Ok guys I'm new here so don't laugh cus I don't have a hemi. I just got an '06 Magnum with the 3.5L HO. Basically I just wanted something to pull a 2 bike motorcycle trailer. I go to Myrtle Beach and Daytona every year. I ride to Myrtle but trailer to Daytona since its about 11.5 hrs from where I live in VA.
To the guys that are talking exhaust, just take the mufler/resonator thats in the middle out and replace with a strait pipe. Leave the one at the back to dampen the sound a bit. I had mine done last week and even though it's just single exhaust it seemed to make a big difference.
The guy only charged $32 and said he had a RT with a hemi that he replaced with the Flow Master or Magna Flow, can't remember which, and the guy was completely dissapointed cus it was too quiet.
So pull the middle muffler out and see how it sounds. You can always put a strait through glass pack in if it's too loud. I don't think paying $800-$1000 is worth what you have to pay for the Flow Master/Magna Flow systems.
