Next Car, 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT
Who's Seen It?
I was at the Anaheim Dodge Dealer right before the Anaheim Auto Show and one of the sales guys was talking about the Challenger. Seems everyone that doesn't want a Wagon, which is bitchen, are disappointed with the Charger having (4) Doors. So, Dodge will answer with the Challenger. Anyone with information on this, please forward to me. My daughter wants the Magnum when she gets her license, so I will need something else to drive. The Challenger sounds good... SRT-8 or maybe SRT-10?

It's suppose to be in 2010.
Motor Trend says:
Dodge will lead the cars built off the next-generation Chrysler LX platform--called LY--with a new Challenger ponycar for the 2010 model year.

It was originally approved for a 2009 debut according to Automotive News in June of 2005. Thats when the LX platform gets migrated to the LY redesign. However there are other, persistent rumors that the Challenger has received such immensely positive response that it has been moved up to the 2007 model year, just before the LX platform gets its makeover.
Nobody who knows is talking... at least not out loud.

2009 is the projected date for arrival, but it may get an early or late release. An SRT model would most likely have a V8 (SRT-8).
