Pillar cover removal with pics.
Here are a couple of pics I did for the pillar cover removal. First pull down on the top ov the cover. It will stop about 3 inches. You have to release the retainer by going from the glass side and pushing the tab towards the pin. Once that is done, there is a push fastener that you just pull on the pillar cover to disengage it. There are 2 tabs in the defroster cover. You just rock the pillar cover front to rear to get the tabs out. To reassemble out the pillar retainer in the pillar hole first. Next BE SURE that the push fastener is in the hole other wise you will bend it and get a squeak like I did on the passenger side. The defroster cover is held in strickly by a butt load of push fasteners. About half the metal clips stayed in the dash. Just remove them and then put them back on the defroster cover. Here is a pic of the pillar retainer in the pillare before assembly.

Here is a pic of the pillar cover retainer still attached to the pillar cover after removal. Make sure that you take the reatiner off and put it in the hole in the pillar before you start to reassemble.
