Default Magnum Shaker Upgrade: Any ideas?

Hi There,

I recently saw a new Challenger with a 'Shaker' cold-air induction kit that stuck out of the hood.
Apparently Dodge are selling the Shaker intake system as a kit.

But, since the Magnum is no longer built, and has a subtly different shaped hood, how would someone fit such a Shaker kit, as they wouldn't be able to buy a replacement hood with the hole readily cut, so would have to cut a precise hole in their existing hood..!

This hole would also have to be weather proof.

Also, does anyone know what performance benefits these Shaker intake kits give?

Thanks - D
