Hello i have a 2005 Magnum SE 2.7 which I've taken to be inspected twice in the last month and both times wouldn't pass because the emissions computer read that my O2 sensor wasn't ready all other emission point were fine i drove almost 500 miles between attempted inspections does anyone know a solution for this problem I've had the car for 8 years and this has never happened the mechanic said the O2 sensor is good thanks for any help

 

Replace it and see what happens.

 

sounds like a good place to start.




kinda weird as 02 monitors should run continuously and either pass or fail. the only thing that would inhibit an 02 monitor that I can think of is a misfire condition but that should set a code.


any previous codes did that you cleared out?
