Post in the magnum section.

Thing is, it's a used car..... no one here can see it, so, we don't know what condition its in, we don't know it's history, and we can't talk to the current owner. Basically, if it's in good shape, runs/drives nice, and looks like it was actually taken care of..... It'll probably last you for quite a while. If you take care of it as well. Value is also very dependent on location..... What goes for 2 grand in one place, might go for 10 someplace else...... Check craigslist, or auto trader, and have a look at similar cars in your area, and see what prices look like.

Without knowing a lot of stuff as mentioned, no one can tell you. Be an informed consumer. Take it to a mechanic for an inspection.

Few questions:
1. Is it RWD or AWD?
2. 2.7 or 3.5?
3. No maintenance needed or repairs? "No maintenance needed" sounds like none of the fluids were ever changed.
4. CV axles don't have a due time, they are either good, close to fail or they fail.
5. You need to drive it and see if there is any amount of noise coming from the front end, Daimler cheaped out on some of the components at the time. Replacement components have the bugs fixed but would possibly need to be rebuilt.
6. See if there are any codes current or stored AFTER you take it for a test drive. If you try to pull codes prior to there may not be any after a reset. A run cycle will cause any latent codes to appear.
