Default 2005 Dodge Magnum / front driver’s side brakes

2005 Dodge Magnum / front driver’s side brakesMy 2005 Dodge Magnum purchased 6 months ago with just 50k miles is having an issue with the front driver’s side brakes applying without the brake pedal being pressed… The wheel doesn’t totally lock up but the brake is applied enough to seriously cause resistance to driving and cause much heat from that front left wheel… Once the brakes cool down the problem goes away till it mysteriously happens again… 6 weeks ago the ABS dash light came on and I had the “wheel speed sensor” replaced… 2 weeks ago I had both front calipers replaced and the same braking symptom happened yesterday… Could this be a problem with the electronics, computer and/or anti-lock management system rather than a bricks and mortar problem like brake lines or the Master Cylinder? I would appreciate any help... Mucho thanks, Mark

How old are the soft lines? They tend to break down internally, and will allow fluid under pressure to flow TO the caliper, but, won't allow the fluid back, to release the brake.

Hey mucho thanks for the input... As I just purchased the car this past July I do not know how old the brakes lines are... I'm guessing they are original as the car only had 50k miles on it... Yes I bought it from a 87 year old gentleman who only drove it to church on Sundays and to the liquor store and pubs... The Magnum is at my mechanics right now getting both front lines replaced... I'll just have to see if this is the fix... It took 2 weeks to cause the same problem after I had new calipers installed... I hate intermittent problems!!! Cheers,
M
