Are there any rumors that the Magnum will be offered with a manual transmission? I'll be buying a vehicle in the next couple of months and from what I've read about the Magnum, it would suit me just fine. I'd rather get it with a manual transmission, though.

Also, any recommendations for dealers in the Austin, TX area?

 

no rumors of that. I'd go drive the 300C with the new NAG1 trans and a HEMI. I think you'll be quite impressed. Press the traction off button and drop the hammer--this thing hauls.

 

No. Unfortunately not - I would have loved this option myself. Chrysler expressly told the press that a manual version of Magnum will definitely NOT come out any earlier than 3 years from now, IF AT ALL. The main reason, I believe, is that Chrysler was forced to use the readily available Mercedes auto tranny as a cost-saving decision. Since SRT-10 has 6-speed manual, I am sure that Chrysler has a manual that can handle this much power/torque, but I am sure there were bigger forces at play over this decision... Afterall, this is a wagon. I doubt there would be much demand for this car in manual from the enthusiasts. I would love this car in manual, but I might have to settle for autostick on the RT

Thanks for the info. I've just about decided to order a Magnum RT, but I would like to see one and drive one (with a Hemi, of course) before I commit.
