Oil change help
Hi guys, so I'm new to the dodge world and I need just a little help, which would be greatly appreciated. So I'm borrowing my friends car while he is out of the state, and I noticed he is past due for an oil change. If I could get some specs that would be awesome!
1. How much oil (5.7 hemi) I'm assuming 6 - 7 qts? it says 5w-20 as well.
2. What filter does it take?
3. his sticker says its 5w-20 max life synthetic blend, and he's at 4020 over (when is 5w-20mxb due for change)

You've neglected a few details, like year, make and model, engine, etc.......but:
1. Will be in the owner's manual how much oil it takes. Any 5W-20 will work, though synthetic tends to be better for these engines.
2. Whatever specific filter designed for the engine you're willing to pay for. When you go to buy it there will either be a manual or someone available to look it up. Personally I'd look to see what he already has there just to avoid friend problems later lol.
3. That's a good oil; doesn't really matter how long someone says the oil will last, what is the maintenance interval called for for that vehicle?

Why did you ask twice in the same sub-forum?

Maybe the mods can hook you up and merge them.
