Engine swap
Can I put a 2014 challenger 5.7 hemi in my 2005 magnum R/T that has a 5.7 hemi in it already? If so what all do I need off of the Challenger? And will the pcm off the Challenger and the wire harness work on the 2005 magnum?
So the 2 different versions of CAN bus are not directly compatible; the 2014 PCM protocols are 2 versions advanced from your 2005. It can be and has been done, but you kinda need to know what you're doing....I recommend talking to hotwireauto.com, stuff like this is their bread & butter. You will want the 09-10 front cover so that you can use your stock accessory drive. Alternatively you could swap the tone wheel for one your PCM can read and lock out the VVT (cam phaser lock). Then you would just need a custom tune.
The real questions is why? Did you blow the original engine? The later 5.7 is only 30 hp more than the earlier one in LX cars. For all the work, cost and headache it generally takes to make a VVT engine work in a non-VVT chassis (sometimes completely negating that very advantage) and loss of function (most lose cruise control), you could do a simple cam swap on a pre-eagle and be right there or better than the later engine and not have the expense & headache. Your car though.

No the eagle heads are a good idea. They are based on the 6.1 heads but with longer valves. Keep the stock size chambers and get pistons to match to give you a good CR, say about 10.5 to 10.75 for street premium. If you're gonna bother to upgrade to forged pistons, don't forget your crankshaft. Tip: easy forge upgrade for a 5.7 is to use a 6.1 crank; factory forged and same stroke. Or you could just stroke your engine to a 370 or 392 with eagle heads.
