We purchased an SXT Magnum in November 2004. It has been in service with engine problems 4 times. The third trip back resulted in 22 days straight. The entire top end of the motor has been replaced not to mention numerous related problems (leaks, running rough etc.). This last time (#4) my car had run completely out of oil! I did not know it because my oil light never came on and the leaking oil had accumulated in the skid plate. I had a bad gasket, at 12000 miles??? Unbelieveable, I have contacted a lawyer now to get rid of this lemon! I love my car but can't stand the headaches!!

 

Sorry to hear about your problems, Maybe another dealership for service?
If your only having engine related problems, can your lawyer request a crated replacement engine? if you can't get it "Lemoned Out"

 

sorry to hear about your problems, I bought mine last sun. and it went into the dealer that mon. and haven't had ours back since. So I know how ya feel. We haven't even had ours one full day. Good luck with a lawyer, I might be calling you for his number if he does a good job. Please keep us updated.

 

I don't know where you live, but in N.J. to lemon a car it must be in the shop for a total of 20 days. Or in the shop for the same problem three times and the problem not fixed. the 20 days do not have to be consecutive. You do not have to pay any lawyer fees. I hope you have kept all records with dates. And I hope they have given you detailed lists of repairs.
You can find the lemon laws for your state on the computer and also lawyers who do just that.

Also, you even get back the sales tax!
Good luck with this. I think I may just have to do the same. Mine is in the shop again. So far 11 days with engine problems.
