Magnums a future classic car?
Hello group,
Please let me know your thoughts regarding Dodge Magnums. Are they worth keeping and maintaining in hopes of them becoming a classic car? I have a 2005 RT. The body and interior are pretty clean. The car still runs but may need a new water pump and thermostat or it may have a slight head gasket leak. It overheats. And the engine surprisingly still has a lot of power with 235,000 miles. I'm sure the repairs are more than it is actually worth these days but I still really like this car.
Opinions and advice are appreciated.
Thanks

Magnums weren't very popular to begin with, but they'll always have a fan base. I doubt anyone will be showing up with a dump truck full of money, but I could see the 08 and SRT models being a point of interest.
One never knows what will pop out of the woodwork as cool or popular. The mindset of people and society changes so much. Think of the Daytona and Superbird. granted Dodge only made enough of them to qualify for nascar but from what I've read/heard they had a hard time selling them, people didn't want to own "racecars". In short its just a charger and roadrunner with a body kit. In short people didn't want them when they were new but its one of the rarest most sought after Mopars today. Primarily attributed to the limited production. Of course the magnum doesn't have the same backstory, and certainly wasn't a limited production. One can never really know. However like mentioned, I don't see them fetching big money, even if they do become popular. The way inflations been going you can probably sell if for the same dollars today as you would in 20 years, but the money will be worth half as much.
