I live in a state that requires a front plate. I don't really want to put the front plate on. My vette hasn't had the front plate on for a couple of years.
So, who lives in a front plate state, and are you have the plate installed?

We live in Ohio and nearly all the vehicles come pre-equiped with a front plate holder, the only problem is when you take the holder off there are ugly holes that the screws leave in the front bumper!!!
Anyway, if it werent for the holes we probably wouldnt have a plate on it since half the cars with Ohio plates dont have front plates even though its a law here, dont really understand it myself, but that wouldnt be the first time...lol

California, and it's law here, but you see a ton of people with no front plate, I just got sighted the other day for no front plate on my truck, cops usually don't mess with you about it, unless you look suspicious or you did something else to **** them off, and the want a reason to pull you over, that's what happened to me, he was two lanes over and I didn't see him, and I was doing 5 miles an hour over the speed limit, and I passed him, so he couldn't really write me for speed so he wrote me for tint and front liscense plate, but he made it clear why he pulled me over, "if one person passes me than everyone will want to pass me". ha ha

RE: Who has a front plate on their Magnum?
The dealerships install the plates, they come without them from the factory. When I ordered my Magnum R/T from a Southern California dealership I made it a point to let them know that if they drilled into the bumper and mounted a plate, I would not accept the car.
They did not mount it and I love the clean look. I am willing to take my chances since I have had many cars without a front plate in California and have never been cited....

we dont have the front plate law in oklahoma either. the only vehicles we put the plate brackets on are the trucks and that is only if they have a chrome bumper.
I live in California we are techincally a two plate state. I specifically asked the dealer not to attach the front bracket. Here if you do get popped for no front plate. Which California considers a fix-it ticket so it won't effect your drivers record. I have my bracket with the front plate in the garage with some 3M mounting tape. When I get nailed I tape the bracket in place and drive over to the Police get the ticket signed off. When that's done I drive to a nearby parking lot and remove the tape. A little Turtle Wax Bug & Tar Remover gets rid of any tape residue and away I go. It has worked several times. Some times the California Highway Patrol has free time and looks for anything to right a citation about.
