Auto-up window not working
Well, after my last dealership debacle (see "ITIOTS AT DEALER DAMAGED MY ROOF THREAD"), I am really hesitant to take my car back to the dealer, but I might have to. My automatic power window on the driver's door stopped working. It works when going down, but the auto-up on the driver's door only, has stopped working. I have to hold the switch to get the window to go all the way up. Anyone have any experience with these? It is possibly just a dirty switch? Can I fix this myself without the dealer touching it? How hard is it to get to the switch? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
You guys sure? It works on the passenger door for sure. I could have sworn it worked on the driver's door too at one time. Mine's a 2006 model. I know it worked before. Like I said, the front passenger door has auto-up.
only on the '06 magnums. i have this feature. if you disconnected the battery, you will need to reset this feature.
push and hold the button down until the window is all the way down, continue to hold the button for another second or two until you hear the click sound. repeat this process to reset the up feature. hold the button up until you hear the click.
the next time you use this auto up auto down feature, it will work as before. do the same for the other window too.

Interesting, I never heard of a car having power up. Its a safety thing so someone dont roll it up on their finger or neck
. The only time I seen it was on 58-60 Lincoln convertibles where it put up the top and all of the windows if a sensor got hit with water. I def wouldnt want it to go up on auto on mine.
