Drove an SRT-8
I just drove a Magnum SRT-8 today, which was a really bad idea, cuz now I want one, LOL. It is one of the fastest cars I have driven, and handles amazingly well for it's size. I was impressed.
Hmmmmm I've been in/driven several that were at least as fast.....but none that weighed that kinda weight....couple of Camaro's, Corvette, a GTO, 2 Chevelle's, 1 Mustang, and a couple of exotics....and the SRT-10 Ram
I have driven a couple of SRT-10 Rams, a quad cab and a regular cab. They are fast, but they don't feel like they pull as hard as the SRT-8 cars. Of corse, the Rams are heavy sobs.
Yes,
It feels much faster if you are Higher in a seat... I had a Durango with a Hemi and thought it was way faster than the Magnum, which tripped me out, but no, it is an illusion, the Magnum is faster... Lower the ride, slower you seem to travel, because you are closer to the ground. Higher the ride, faster you seem to go...
Example: How many of you have just taken off from a light, look down and your doing like 70 MPH and think, Wow!, doesn't seem like I'm going that fast, felt like 45 to 50 MPH...
Then if you do the same thing in the Durango, it is like, damn I'm going fast, I better slow down, but it is at 60 MPH you notice it, not 70 MPH...
This is just my opinion. Everyone will have different feelings based on what you are use to driving....
