Underrated?? How? I can only assume that the Dyno is showing AT THE REAR wheels HP/Trq
Those nunbers are about correct for rear wheel..

I really doubt the motor was removed from the body for this..

If you subtract the avarage 20% drive tran loss (espacially a auto trans) it should dyno around 280/ 290 rwhp. So at 305 rwhp it would be around 355/ 360hp if not more at the motor, so thus Dodge has underrated it's HP. This is in no way a bad thing.

The car only has a free flowing Cat back exhaust and K&N drop in filter. Otherwise its bone stock. There was another R/T with a cat back and air charger intake and he made 306 HP and 345TQ. A bone stock R/T had numbers of 292HP and 324TQ.

Ah...Sorry I thought you were saying the his motor should be doing better...and I honestly think we lose more then 20% with the 5 spd tranny...but that is another story

ive always figured an auto loses around 18% on average and like 16% with manual

those are very impressive #'s though....anyone else have any info?

1st time at the track i ran 14.2 with just CAI, mufflers and TB spacer i believe.

2nd time had the same plus GS motorsports Trq mgmt/fan mod, NGK plugs, Taylor plug wires and ran 14.02

3rd time at the track i had all the above plus everything in my signature. the only difference is i had the jet stage 2 chip instead of the superchips programmer that i have now. it was also hotter than my previous track visits. Somehow i was back up to 14.2 with over $2k more invested. argh...though i was in the 13's

now i have the other programmer and it feels a little better even though others have dyno'd the superchip and jet and they say jet is +10 hp OVER SUPERCHIP... I'LL LET THE TRACK DO THE TALKING. should be going back in the next few weeks.

I gained 1 tenth with Gibson headers and another tenth with the Borla four muffler system.
