Default K&N CAI

Typhoon Series Intake or the 63 Series Air Charger Cold Air Intake? Any opinions and why?

Whatever you prefer the looks of. NO CAI will add any performance or HP gains to the 5.7 Hemi. It will only add looks, and a cool "sucking wind" sound.

Look-wise I like the Mopar and DUB versions.

I've got a question concerning the CAI, will installing one void the warranty? If I took it in to get it serviced do I have to remove it everytime or is it deemed inconsequential and I could just leave it in.

I leave mine in, no objection by dealer. I read on this forum somewhere that they are not allowed to force a certain brand of filter on you whether is is an air, oil,or any other filter as long as it meets the specs...

"Sucking wind" or "blowing hot air": You decide.

CAI = Cold Air Induction. Most people either call it an intake, or CAI.

Not one single CAI on the market has proven ANY HP gains. On other forums every brand was compared side by side on a dyno to prove it.

That being said, do you think the "bling and growl" factor are cool enough to drop the dough on? The money isn't a problem for me, but I'm not sure what to expect. Will it be too loud? Will it be annoying on long freeway drives or talking to passengers? Will it inadvertantly hamper the performance in anyway? I am debating whether or not the drop in True Flow air filter is maybe all I need.

Also, does anyone use the K&N performance oil filters? Are there any factors to determine which oil filter I should be using?

I'm due for my first oil change, so I was hoping to take care of the CAI or drop in air filter issue and oil change all in one service call.

Could you provide those dyno results? Who conducted the tests?
