Default Intake Systems & Ram Hoods

I recently got my rksport viper hood and i am looking to make it a functional scoop. Are there specific manufactuers of intake systems that are compatible with the scoop's airflow path or will just about any reputable maker work?

Any suggestions or insight from anyone with a functional viper hood would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

The DUB, Mopar and K&N kits have open tops so the hood can feed it directly. The DUB one is yer best bet. Full heat box so you can utilize soam foam and make this air tight to the scoop. The Mopar one aint bad either. The K&N kit doesn't have a heat box. More a a shield. It doesn't completly house the filter so heat will get in on this one.
I have the 360 air intakz. Works perfect for this but is now discontinued. It may be worth lookin for a used on on ebay.
You can use the Valant kit but you'd have to lose the top cover of it and you'd prolly wanna do that foam thang I mentioned before.

i am using a modified 360 air intakez system like grinner. it is the only system that uses a huge 4" tube and a 5 sided airbox open to the hood. i added a gasket seal and closed off the bottom port in the box to get a true ram-air set-up. the only air my motor gets is from the hood scoop.

I really like that hood!

Where did you buy it?
Cost?
Any mods required to install?
Is the hood scoop functional?

The hood was purchased from rksport for about $795 (unpainted) but i see that it is now on sale for $717.

No mods required for fitting other than minor tweaking and fiberglass prep stuff.

The hood is ready to be functional with an appropriate intake system modification (see the above response from Grinner).
