Only when it is raining and I have my foot in it... Then the light comes on, goes off, comes on, goes off. But this is only indicating that it is working. The Light should only come on while the car is loosing traction, is in the air, sliding sideways, etc...

So, it should not come on at all under normal driving conditions. Take it to the dealer, it may be a computer issue, which controls most everything on this car...

I had the samething happen right after I had some lowering springs installed. I also put the question out on the forum and the responses that I got said it probably had nothing to do with my lowering kit.
I went away the very next day and I have'nt had it since.

If you want to see my post that I put out I believe it is on page 10 (as of today 5/22/06). Look for my name (Magmania) in the thread starter column.

To anyone who has experienced the ESP/BAS light coming on. If for any reason you disconnected the battery, will cause this light to come on. To completely clear up the problem follow this. While the car is running and in park turn the wheel all the way to the left, then all the way to the right. Return wheel to center then turn off car. When you restart the car you should not get the light. The instructions are in the owners manual.

Some people pay good money to turn that light on... I bought an ESP mod from GS Motorsports that takes off traction control and torque mgmt. When I flip the switch to activate; that light comes on. If I were you i'd leave the light on and enjoy the extra torque. The complete removal of the traction control also requires that you press the ESP button, both have to work in conjunction with each other.

After installing a DEI alarm and remote starter in my '05 RT my light comes on when I start the car using the remote starter. If I start it with the key as normal the light doesn't come on. All I do now is start it with the remote starter and then turn it off and use the key to start it before I drive off. I use the remote starter to get the heater or A/C going in the morning before driving off to work so it doesn't bother me at all.

ok---guys
i took my car to the dealer and they are telling me that the esp/bas light is coming on due to my rims on my vechile??

does that make sense --he says that the 20" rims on my vechile are not meant for my vechile and that it is going to force the rack and pinions on my car and that why the light will continue to go on?

what do you guys think? doesnt mostly everyone on this forum have rims on there magnum and your esp light doesnt come on?
he is replacing my car battery for sum reason-i complained about my car having a hard start in the morning and he says its the baterry-he saying its bad. maybe the baterry has to do with the esp light going on

what you guys think?

My light went on after installing my K&N intake system. The instructions said to disconnect the negative post and leave off 15 minutes.
The reason they claim is the computer will reset fuel mixture after installing the intake system. I still have my stock rims, so I don't agree with the dealership. I found how to fix the problem in the car manual. Have any one who changed to larger rims have there air pressure light come on. I noticed when I had larger tires put on that there was a small box or relay attached to the rim that I guess monitors tire pressure. Anyway my low tire pressure light came on. After I cleared the code it was okay.
