Review - AUX input for 05 Magnum
A while back this unit was suggested to me here on the forum:

Just installed the aux jack adapter:
This thing works great. Super easy to install. I have the 6 disc/nav system and this unit emulates the VES on the system. Easily switched between input #1 and #2 with the > button. Plenty of room in the dash for this unit and the RCA inputs were long enough to terminate in the glove box (very easy path from the radio to glove box) I then fished a wire from the arm rest compartment to the glove box to finish the connection. My Ipod and and portable XM are now "hard wired" into my system, no messy wires, out of sight in the arm rest and sound great. No need for those crappy FM transmitters!
One problem I experienced was one of the input jacks had a loose connection. Rather than return it for a new unit I opted to fix it myself since I already had the dash apart and wanted to get this finsihed. It took a little doing but was easy enough to fix and works fine now.
All in all I highly recommend this item, which far exceeded my expectations.

But not all FM transmitters are "crappy". I have the Belkin goose neck thing for my I-Pod Video, works great, no batteries, etc. It would be kind of hard for me to watch Beavis and Butthead if it was in the glove box.....hahahaha!!
Good info though, if you have a pure MP3 player. I wish I could do the XM thing here, it does not work in Germany.
MagnumForce was looking for something like this, I put a link to it on his post. What does such a thing cost?
Thanks,

Well actually just the aux jacks are in the glove box. I then fished a cable up into the arm rest so all the conections are ther for my ipod and there's a power outlet in there for it as well. I'm working on a custom holder for my ipod that will fit in the cup holder area (I don't like the ones that are commercially available)...once I get that done I'll post some pix.
I'm sure you're right about not all FM transmitters sucking...but I've tried 2 or three and always experienced some kind of static. I live in the NYC area where I think the airwaves are just jamed up with way to many signals and there's no really clean channel to use.
The unit cost was $95 + s/h
