Anyone out there experience a bad ride after switching out 18" for 22" rims?

I really struggled with my decision on whether to put 20's or 22's. There's a pretty good discussion on the www.300cForums.com (in the wheels and suspension section). I ended up deciding on the 22's (Weld Evo BC-009). The ride is a little firmer, but nothing I'm unhappy about. The 265's seem to grip the road better, but riding on a 30 profile is a little scary around potholes. I think as long as you watch your tire pressure most bumps should be okay (the lower profile handles better, so you can avoid the potholes better ). I like the look, and didn't find the handling to be compromised. The Weld Evo with tire is about 68 lbs (about 10lbs more than stock). I was happy with my purchase through Tire Rack.

I made the switch from 18's to 24's and Im still not complaining about the ride. If you got 22's you would be running a 30 series tire which is thin but not too thin. I guess if you live where there are a lot of pot holes and dirt roads then you might have some thinking to do. It only made my magnum a little slower so i wouldnt worry about that too much. Hope this helps a little

Tire Rack: 265x30X22 .

I think for 20's it's 245x45x20.

No issues with the 22s. Stiffer ride, but handling makes up for it. Looks r also a plus.

If you want people to look park Magnum and install 24" tires and wheels >>>>If you want to drive Magnum and have a good ride stay with the stock 18" wheels and tires and save your money for your retirment years. Advice from an old fart. I have a Black RT all orginal with most all options. Love the car as is.
