air bag light
Yes, I also think there is a problem with the air bag light. In fact, I asked the dealer to check it out yesteday but they said it was fine. I don't think they looked in the owner's manual because it clearly states the yellow light (in the center console) should go OFF even if there is nobody in the passenger seat. In addition, the little red airbad light in the instrument cluster stays on all the time for me. Definitely not a good sign. I will take it back again. I knew there would be little bugs to work out. I was hoping otherwise, hoping Dodge (and American cars in general) had turned the corner, but in retrospect both my new Volkswagen GTI's (a '99 and an '01) had LOTS of problems. I am always hesitant to buy a car over $30k until I consider myself "well off", so I guess you get what you pay for.
The dealer recalibrated the senor in the passenger seat and now all the air bags lights are back to normal. The yellow light on the center console SHOULD go off after a few seconds if nobody is in the passenger seat. Any red airbag light in the instrument cluster that stays on after a few seconds means there is a problem. I had both conditions and now they're fixed.
