The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the 2005 AWD Dodge Magnum SXT model is $27,900 (excluding $625 destination). This includes the added front differential, transfer case and all-wheel-drive front suspension, a five-speed automatic transmission with AutoStickĀ®, 18-inch wheels and touring tires, performance disk brakes and a 19-gallon fuel tank with the 3.5-liter V-6 High Output engine.

The MSRP for the 2005 AWD Dodge Magnum RT model is $31,370 (excluding $625 destination). This includes the addition of the front differential, transfer case and all-wheel-drive front suspension. That's really not too bad. $2000 for the SXT and $1400 for the RT upgrade. It's less than I thought it would be. My dealer was predicting "about $2000" but I thought that it would be around $3200 for the SXT given all of the other goodies you get besides AWD. I think it's about a 2 MPG gas mileage hit. There seems to be alot of people waiting to order the AWD, my wife and I decided to go ahead with the RWD after thinking through how many days out of the year we would actually need AWD and the extra initial cost and gas mileage hits. A good friend that works at chrysler said that the only reason they came out with AWD was because too many people remember the old RWD cars with a 70/30 weight distribution.
