Below is my response to those who have contacted me with " similar" problems...( See intial post....

" Thanks for the reply.......As for my problem.....It does indeed sound as if the oil has drained out of a "Lifter" seeing that I only experience it when the car has not been used for an extended period of time such as over night etc.... Also, mine will happen mostly on the 1st attempt and it isn't a "grinding" sensation such as yours..As I said I even have tried just turning on the electrical system for a few seconds prior to firing it up and it still went 'clack clack...vaaaaaroooom"

As usual and like a "Toothache" it hasn't happened again since I spoke with my Service Dept. and I had them contact the proper authorities and document my problem in case it should return...

It should be noted at this time they advised me that it appears the only similar problem is with the 05's and not the 06 SRT-8's "Nationally" .. I suggest that similar problems be reported to your Service Dept's in case of extended problems down the road... "
