I want to get a programmer for my R/T, and Im wondering the pros and cons between the Superchips Flashpaq and the Hypertech. any input would be great!

 

The Hypertech programmer III for the LX platform is very limited in it's programming options... it doesn't do: Shift points, rev limiter or tire size.

Go to the Hypertech website..I've had mine for some time now and have had no issues with it..You CAN change your Rpm's at 500 per change..I raised my speed up to 147..You can go higher if your tires are better than stock..I run reg gas and runs well and it will run very good at the 91 setting also..Just my 2 cents..

 

I agree that you will probably not experience any issues with the Hypertech but its functionality is limited when compared with the SuperChips programmer. I was very happy with the Hypertech on my 03 RAM QC Hemi <edit> but SC blows HT away on the 05-06 Charger/Magie/300 5.7 Hemi.

Haven't heard of that... Maybe SUPERCHIPS TUNER will see the thread and help out.

What year is the Magie R/T? <Edit> Da, just saw your sig... 05 I see. Also, I can't believe there are not other 05 Magies on this forum running a SuperChip.

 

On 05' cars with early tranmission programs from DCX would not receive all the Superchip options to the transmission.
If the cars were updated then they would have all of the options the later revision cars have.

I am looking for a programmer as well but have a different problem. I have the 3.5 sxt and am having the hardest time finding something for it. I can get a Mod Chip made by Jet Performance, but that is about it. I know, should have gotten the R/T but I did not plan on the mods taking my life and wallet over. If there is anyone making a programmer for the sxt, help a brother out.

Well I bought the SC programmer and it worked great for the first 300kms, the car then kept shutting down on me. I took to the stealership and had thePCM updated, I then tried to install the programmer and it said that I needed to contact Superchips for an update. I tried to download a new update and they said that there were no new updates availible at this time. So now Im waiting and waiting for them to e-mail me when there is a new update for me. Its frustrating having it and not being able to use it[:@]
