Default Power windows problem

I have a 05 magnum and had the driver's side window start going up crooked (back end higher than the front). Today, the window tried to go up and then just dropped. I still have motor noise coming from inside door, and I can lift the window out with my finger tips, but then the window just drops back down into the door. Any thoughts?

Hey---I won't be alot of help, but I did have that happen several times on a maxima I used to have. Required replacing the motor each time, once hubby did himself. Just dont push the button to hear the motor noise or you will burn it up. Good luck.

It sounds like it is something that would be covered under the warranty ...hopefully.
I would just let my service department handle it.

I had the same thing on my 05 rear driver's side window. They need to replace a "window actuator". Of course it took 7 weeks to get the "back ordered" part...

definately a defective regulator / actuator. Usually the cheap motors crap out but it dont sound like this in your case. Not having been inside one of these doors myself yet, I dont know if they use gears and levers or a nylon strip to drive the windows. If there nylon, Ive seen them snap especially when its cold out and or window has frozen up with ice and you try to use it.
