Not to rain on anyone's Parade, but I am hoping so! Value should go up in about 10+ years. 1st Year run of the Magnum Hemi with only 3 production years... Not to mention I have a discontinued Color from the 1st Run... I went in to buy a Car that would become a Classic. If they stop production, that would only speed up the process some! Seems to me that people are preferring the Charger over the Magnum (I see them EVERYWHERE) and now that the Challenger is coming out, how many different cars do you want DC to make in this ever increasing competitive Market? Money is the bottom line... Not enough people are buying them, and it is in their best interest to make another Hemi that they can sell for a higher dollar amount, rather to drop the price to sell the Magnum. Damn business decisions!

I agree! I am also hoping that they stop making them after 2007. It will make it even more of a unique car a few years from now.

Its going to take a lonnnnnng time for these cars to become classics, if they ever do. There's what...? more than 250,000 of them on the road? and around 40% are 5.7's? A lonnnnnng time indeed with numbers like that.

Maybe to become collectors items it will take a lonnnnnnng time. I am talking about having a unique car. Back in the day I had a 90 Mustang 5.0 and so did just about everyone else when I went out to the strip or cruising. It is kind of cool having something that isn't oversaturated on the road. Sure you see other Magnum but not every other minute. It is kind of cool having a ride that is a little unique.[X(]

No kidding. [sm=alcoholic.gif]
That reminds me of of a funny story when I almost bought a Magnum...

I was negotiating with a Dodge Salesmanager, and told him that I was either going to buy the then brand new '05 Magnum RT or a new '04 Mustang Cobra. The guy was saying "Everybody has one of those... blah blah blah...."

I ended up with the Cobra. Paid $32k @ 0.9% APR.
Total 2004 production of all Cobra's was 5,664. Total in my color was 444, in hardtops was 316, and with same interior color scheme was 120.

Everybody has one of those... Yeah right.

Maybe not 'exactly' like yours, but Mustangs, which all seem pretty much the same to me, are all over the place!! In our town BMWs, Mercedes, Acuras, and Volvos go by unnoticed, but my RT turns heads!

I have a red RT. In two years and 14,000 miles, I recall seeing on the road 2 red , 1 white, 2 black, and 1 gray.

Every 4th or 5th time I stop at WalMart, Lowes, the Mall,or the gas station, someone will comment or ask questions about my Magnum.
Last summer I used the RT to haul my old tractor to a local antique car and tractor show. Nearly as many people stopped to check out my RT as stopped at the real classic and show cars around me! For a new car I think that the Magnum RT is closer to becoming a 'classic' than any other new car has in a long time! How many people have asked you: "Wow! Is that a Cobra!??!"!

Always garaged, driven only 6 or 7 thousand miles per year, 7/70 Warranty, and with every factory option except sunroof, this RT may reach true 'classic' status some day, and without being 'restored', just preserved!! Meanwhile, I'll enjoy a fast, attractive, economical, safe, roomy, and comfortable ride!!

PS: Where do you find those production numbers??

i have to agree with the mustag cobra. he did it right and went all out with the cobra. i see alot of magnum r/t in my town. i see one cobra to every 10 magnums. nothing against anyone or car just think there are a lot more magnums and they are cheaper used too. i have been looking for a cobra my self for about 2 months and they hold there value pretty good too!

Hey, I like Magnums, I almost bought one (AWD RT).
I have a Power Wagon if I need a towing vehicle.
You own a station wagon, I've got a sports car. I also own an '85 AMC Eagle wagon, your Magnum is better than that, except off-road.

Production numbers from Ford SVT. Raw numbers here:

Is your Magnum listed here?
