You can also go under your seat and cut the two wires strip the insulation off both and twist them together and put a wire nut on them.

I understand most here do wear their seatbelts and just want to stopthe chimewhen they are doing what you guys mentioned (parking lots, attending to baby, etc)and I don't want to sound like the board mama, but the best way to stop the chime is to buckle up, buttercup. My husband and I have both been in major accidents(I was in my major accident when Iwas a kid)and seatbelts really and truly saved our lives both times!!

Ya but there are very few serious car accidents in KMart parking lots........Even a head on collison isnt too much at 10 mph. I know what your saying of course, but I know to buckle up on the street without that incessant ' DING '.

Hey MangoInTX thanks,,,

I tried this last night and it works like a charm. We have a trailer at a camp ground and I often have to drive to get places at about 3 miles an hour. it's a nuisance to put on the belt for that so this is great

thanks again

It maybe different on the SRT but that would be surprising.
How many time did you attempt this?. It might be a timing issue when you were performing the sequence.
